ok I am a noob when it comes to this, been reading alot but I dont get it,

I downloaded ubuntu for windows and I do not understand how to get the files I downloaded in windows to ubuntu. I tried the cloud but once I get them there, they do not work with linux. Do I need to redownload them in ubuntu?

So your dual booting? What kind of files are you downloading? You should be able to use them in ubuntu. Best bet is to use a flash drive or store them on your phone.

In linux you should be able to mount all hard drives. Shuold be able to browse into what you need from there.
