Hello,
I have installed FE07 on my E4GT sucessfully, and it works pretty good, Thanks for the video QB!
If I want to go back to a CWM back up EL29 (which I have saved before the update), how do I do that since the stock ICS recovery has replaced my CWM recovery?
Thanks for the help

Full wipe Odin one click reinstall of rooted stock EL29, install CWM, restore backup. Should be right back where you were when you restored. Make sure you do the full data wipe any time you downgrade. Hope this helps.

Or just Odin EL26 Kernel CWM boot on recovery full data wipe and restore nandroid backup. BTW if you flash EL26 kernel you won't be able to boot past boot animation because GB kernel and ICS ROM but don't worry you still be able to boot on recovery or download mode to make the nandroid backup. IT IS SAFE AND EASIER.

He already has an MD5 backup of gingerbread. What are the advantages of going back to EL26? I know EL26 is good for flashing ICS roms, but that's not what this person is looking to do. I'm new to this as well, so I'm trying to learn something, not question your methods. Thank you for your patience.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I went with this after a factory rest, (EL29 Modem/Kernel/ROM - Full Restore - Rooted) Odin is built in to the file.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1433101
Then I installed CWM EL29 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342728
All went well and back up and running.
Then I went into CWM recovery and did a factory reset again, and wiped everything and applied the saved CWM backup through restore.
With a MD5 mismatch error the restore file would not work.....strange...(never have had that error before)
So....being back on EL29 I just manually set up my layout and programs......all is good.

That's why I always keep titanium backups and a contacts backup just in case.

I have a question... I have the old skool Epic 4g. and Im running AOKP 4.0.4 on it on FC09. Will this leak help my ROM run any smoother? Im aware that I do have a single core phone and should expect some glitches from AOKP ICS 35.2, but it's more glitchy than not. Im not very educated about modems and what they do. Im still trying to learn anything and everything about Rooting,ROMs and whatnot. I'm slowly learning to write themes. (Not very successfully LOL) but I am trying :) Any and all help will be VERY welcome!!
Thanks,
Ridge :)

This leak is for the Epic 4G Touch. Nothing on it is compatible directly with your phone. Directly applied if even possible all you will have is a nice brick of a phone. The modem is not compatible either.
FC09 = Epic 4G Gingerbread leak, FE07 is a E4GT ICS leak.

AAAH, okay I gotcha. Like I said, Im still learning ;) Thanks for the tutorial! It's people like you I can respect because Im still a n00b, but Im learning as much as I can. And I dont need some yahoo responding about how stupid I am and to get out of "their" forum. It's been a long hard road to learn just what little I DO know. I really appreciate that. Thank you!! :witless: :jaded: One more lesson learned under my belt!! yay
Thanks,
Ridge :)
