I came to one of the only places that i knew of to ask for guidance or help or anything...i know of many but sometime they just dont answer my questions or query so i came here since this is the place i found the original info on the admiral beast cwm, theme, and odin/ops files....thanks by the way...

basically i have not bricked my phone...it still runs...my pc still recogizes it when i connect via usb as long as i am in 'mounts and storage>mount usb storage>unmount....but i also have a starting business and i really need my phone to work...

i just wonder if i need to do the steps again or something....i have cwm recovery installed....is it possible that i need to do odin and ops and theme and .tar files again....

i really do believe in donations...as long as one could wait until payday.....

Have you tried reflashing cwm, maybe through Fastboot? It sounds like a recovery issue to me. Odin would fix it I'm sure because it overwrites everything. I would try a fresh recovery flash to see if that helps.

well im not sure if it will let me ..it wont let me into any part of the phone at all..here are the exact steps i did.

STEP ONE: ROOTING

(ADMIRE-ROOT-WINDOWS.ZIP)

How to Install

Your device must be in USB Debugging mode.

Windows: Install the Samsung USB drivers , unpack the archive, and open run.bat.

(INDULGE-DRIVERS.EXE)
remapping camera

HOW TO REMAP MUVE BUTTON FOR CAMERA

1. Root the phone . Make sure you installed a superuser from the market.

2. Install root explorer.

3. Open the root explorer and go to /system/usr/keylayout

4. Tap sec_key.kl and open with Text Editor

5. Go to "# handling for touch-key codes"

6. replace in

"key 766 MUVE_SCREEN WAKE_DROPPED"
MUVE_SCREEN -> CAMERA

so it will look like
"key 766 CAMERA WAKE_DROPPED"

and

"key 528 MUVE_PLAY WAKE_DROPPED"
MUVE_PLAY -> FOCUS
so it will look like
"key 528 FOCUS WAKE_DROPPED"

7. Hit BACK button, it will ask you if you want to save, confirm it.
It will create a backup file.

8. Reboot the phone.

On active phone push the button all way down and hold to call a camera app.
Inside of the camera app half press to focus, full press to shot.

STEP TWO: ROOTING

1. Download ODIN >>>HERE<<<(odin_multi_downloader_v4.42.bin)

2. Download OPS file >>>HERE<<<(SCHR720.OPS)
3. Download CWM >>>HERE<<<(Admire-CWM.tar)
4. Download drivers>>>HERE<<<(MetroPCS_ADMIREdrivers.bin)
5. Create new folder and call it whatever you want, extract ODIN here and place the OPS and CWM files in here as well. This makes it easy to find everything.
6. Open drivers and install, if you don’t understand, you probably shouldn’t be attempting this yet.
7. Put your Admire in download mode, disconnect USB and pull battery. Put battery back in and press volume down, camera and power. Count to 3 and release, you should see instructions saying press volume up to continue, do so. This is not easy, keep trying, you’ll get it.
8. Open device manager and make sure your computer recognizes your device.
9. Go to the folder you created and double-click the ODIN downloader, this should start ODIN.
10. Make sure you have a yellow “com” box, if not, you did something wrong, start over.
11. In the downloader select OPS file and when prompted, CWM file in your new folder.
12. Now, press start. You should see some action in the top left corner of the downloader, when it says done, you’re done! Congratulations!
13. Disconnect USB and pull battery. Put battery back in, press volume down, back and power buttons. Release when you see CWM.
14. Navigate recovery with volume buttons, scroll down to back up/restore, select back up using the home button for selections.

but instead this method....

I need ...

I rooted my admire .. it was working fine for 2 days now .. then today my battery died while at work when i got to my car i plugged it in and it started to boot back up but got stuck on the samsung screen .. I tried to do the wipe data/factory reset in the system restore mode and at the bottom of the recovery page in yellow it says :

E:PATH:/data/update_sucess
E:update file is backed up:not updated
#MANUAL MODE#

--WIPING DATA--
Formatting Data...
Formatting Cache...
Data wipe complete.
E:File is written: not updated

so then i chose option " reboot system now "

and it starts to reboot and then it vibrates a few times and an error box pops up and says :

Sorry!
The application Setup Wizard
(process com.android.setupwizard)
has stopped unexpectedly. please try again.
Force Close

then it goes to what would be my home screen and the time shows in the corner and shows i have a full battery .. but i cannot do anything, its a black screen i cant click menu or home or anything ...

I tried to go to download mode by holding the camera button and plugging in the USB and then the warning screen came on, i pressed the volume up to accept .. then the next screen says:

ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SCH-R720
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: 0
CURRENT BINARY: OFFICIAL
(and in the middle of the screen in yellow says)
Downloading...

i installed all the files you said to install and when i click start on the ODIN DOWNLOADER it says :

PLEASE CONNECT PHONE

my phone was connected, it wont detect my phone ... the samsung USB drivers are installed already ...

I dont know what to do ...
