Well hey there all you interwebs people! My name is Tony, and I reside in Sacramento, CA. A bit more about me? Well if you insist.
I was born under a rock....okay no, and not going that far back. However I will state factual info about me.
I'm 26 and am on a constant search for knowledge. Be it useless info, or something that truly interests me. Where does this thirst come from? Good question, being I was horrible in school, and didnt even graduate High School, however I did get my GED.
Random Personal Fact #1: I have a moderate case of Asperger Syndrome, Google It!
On to hobbies!!
I love music, and have been creating music since I was 15, so about 11 years. I'm almost totally self taught. I received piano lessons as a child (about 8 years old, for 2 years). I started out using MIDI with a low end keyboard. From there I moved to MIDI plus VST via Fruity Loops Studio (Now FLS). My first music attempts were mediocre at best. I've even put together an anthology of sorts detailing my progression from bland to what it is now. There is a total of 80 songs through the years, but only 50 are featured. Fast forward to present day. I now use ACID Pro 7 and Sonar 8 Producer edition. I've got over 590GB of Samples and effects that I've either purchased or created over the years. In my computer I have hundreds of test mixes and unfinished songs. I have 3 albums, only 1 is public. I own my own production company known as Studio-X Productions. I did this because frankly, I dont think the music is good enough to get me signed to any label, and second, the hierarchy of record labels is ridiculous. The way it works on the inside is wrong. So unless I get a really good offer, I'll stay indie.
More!!!
I'm a video game and computer technology geek. I own currently a Nintetndo, SNES, N64, PSONE, and PS3. My PS3 is one of the few that plays PS2 as well. Something I think Sony really messed up on. Who doesn't want to play the PS2 games when the PS3 can play PS1?!?! What a stupid mistake. I'm a die hard Playstation fan, despite its foul ups, dont get me started on Microsoft XBOX 360, I may not win the argument, but I'll fight to the death!!
Current:
Obviously, I am a member of ACS. I'm the lead moderator for the Sound and Music thread. I create sound effects for the ACS ROM's as well as general effects for use in the ROM's themselves. However, my effects tend to be ACS Branded.
I am a co-owner of BluLite Computers LLC. We are currently upstart and quickly moving towards full business. Our goal is to create the best gaming and producer computers at a price point below competitors. We are in Lynwood, CA and Sacramento, CA. At the point where BluLite gets off the ground, we'll move the business to San Francisco, because frankly, driving to LA County every time I'm needed will get expensive really quick.
I develop apps for Android under the name UndergroundApps. I have the latest SDK for Android and try very hard to make the apps as perfect as possible and available for 2.0 to current. Being Android is ever changing, this can be tough. My current apps are in alpha and not yet released. The most promising is a Satellite tracker for those of us who like to stare at the night sky and watch the stars, or the occasional satellite fly by or ISS flyover.
I'm sure there is more to say, and I'm sure I'll add to this.
