Hey everyone! Just wanted to get a thread going with all the current modems to try out with your epic! Everyone's phone handles each modem differently so test them out and find out which one works best for you! For those that dont know, a modem effects 3g and 4g speeds as well as the cell signal of your phone handling phone calls and text messages (the bars ;) ).


I did get this idea from Marcusant... I just have all four uploaded already so I figured I'd put this in a thread for everyone to be able to reference to!

I was wondering about BML and MTD. What's the differences / advantages / disadvantages? Also, I've never really understood the modem part. What is the purpose of flashing just the modem? Isn't that updated with the Rom itself? I Odin from EL30 to FC09 stock, doesn't the modem flash with it? Can you run a different version modem with a different version Rom? If so - what are the advantages / disadvantages of that?

New at all of this and the video tutorials have helped out greatly....
