the ONLY question i have is why some websites don't stream flash like they used to. some are now audio only. is there a certain version of flash that i should be using? i'm on the newest one right now.

Just made the upgrade from 2.0 to 3.0. So far it seems smooth, but the Talk app is giving me some issues. It keeps on giving me errors saying "Google Talk authentication failed." If I click on that error, it tells me "Google Talk failed to login. If this is a Google Apps account, confirm that Chat service is enabled for this account."

Has anybody encountered this error? At Lanternslight's suggestion, I cleared the "talk" data, but did not help. When I loaded up 3.0, I used titanium backup to restore some accounts information, so that may have screwed it up.

I don't know if it's me or the ROM but the battery seems to drain quicker than the last version. Do I have to recalibrate the battery? I have not done that since I have had the phone lol.

I typically run the battery down completely and then fully recharge it on a new rom before I start measuring battery performance. Are there any settings that are on by default that you usually disable? They could be killing your battery if you have not fully adjusted everything yet.


By the way, my startup time is almost instant on this phone. It's insane.

Did you possibly only partial wipe when you installed 3.0? You don't wanna do that with this version.

Try clearing both caches and fixing permissions in recovery. Fixing perms can solve a lot of wonkisms on weird initial flashes.

If that doesn't work I'd redownload the ROM, check the md5sum before installing, FULL wipe, install, boot up, let it sit a couple min @ initial setup wizard screen, reboot, let it sit again a couple minutes, then set everything up. Don't use titanium this time to restore data on any system apps (look in /system/app folder for a list).

If you follow all of that to a T and you still have problems PM me and we'll get it straight.

along with JH.. please give us a list of some of these sites so we can check them out on our phones. I haven't had any flash issues. I'm using Flash 10.2 personally. I am always really careful before I blindly update my Flash player because Adobe is a phail phrequently. However I do know several people on the latest 10.3.x version and haven't heard any probs except maybe a random once in a blue moon report like this.

I will try that, I always check to see what is running in the background and kill the apps I do not need and usually I don't stay signed into anything like facebook and such. Tonight I was signed into facebook all night from 9:30 to 4am and I used google music for an hour total and I am down to 73% so that isn't bad at all. However, I do feel that when I am doing something like watching a video or checking out facebook and such the battery seems to drain faster than the last version like it would drop 10% in no time.
