Hi, I am new here and am having issues getting root. I just purchased the phone today, and have not had luck, yet (it says I should have root, but do not). I have attached a screen shot of the message I receive after running OCR. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Ok..call me stupid, cause I have been calling myself that all morning! i had beautiful root access to my Photon until yesterday when I installed an update. I KNOW I KNOW!! why did i do it?? Cause i didn't know any better. Now I can't seem to regain my root access. I have followed all the instructions above and it didn't work this time. I did a battery pull and tried again. Still isn't working. Any suggestions? Im still new to the Android system, so try to make answers and laymen as possible. Thanks a bunch for any help!!

I have a Motorola's Photon 4G with Sprint. I was rooted for a while (thanks!! by the way, awesome benefit). Since Motorola's latest upgrade a few days ago, it kicked me out of root. I was actually pleased that it didn't brick the phone. But, using your program above I was able to root my Photon again, no issues I thought, until today when I realized that ALL new pictures taken, since my re-rooting, are NOT showing up when I try to find them using the FILES app, or from some other application. I can see the pictures displayed only when I use the Gallery app. It's a problem because for my job I take pictures, then email them all in one email at a later time, but now I can't find them to be sent from any email application. Alternatively, I can email them one at a time, from the Gallery-Library, by viewing the picture, but I don't want to send a separate email per one picture! The better alternative so far is using another picture taking app like Angel Camera, but the resident one has the above issue with re-rooting after the new Mot upgrade.
Oops. My mistake. I apologize. There is nothing wrong with my camera app (or rooting app); it saved its files on my SD card as I had switched recently, but were deeply inserted within a few sets of folders. What is not working now is my video camera, but I can not tell when exactly it broke, before/after rooting etc. I am just posting it in case others are having the same problem. The video app won't save new videos, old ones are corrupted, and when in video mode, the little window in the corner that it used to show my old videos, keeps showing the last picture saved instead.

This is what I keep getting and i have 2 Photon's and they both do the same thing. I appreciate any help you can give me thanks
my xwife was asking me about this phone.... i see that you have root for it.... is this a good phone? if so i know where to come to root it for here.
The Photon is awesome I love it and think it is one of the best buys for your money. Def thumbs up
I have a Motorola Photon with Sprint as well. Phone was rooted via the Photon Torpedo method previously, and became unrooted by the last update. I already had Superuser installed on my phone. One thing no one seems to mention is that this one-click root method here automatically installs Superuser on your phone? But apparently a version different from what is in the Android App Market (the desktop icons are noticeably different), which has me a little worried., primarily because it seems this new installation of Superuser CANNOT BE UNINSTALLED. Not that I want to uninstall it, but the fact that I am unable to do so gives me pause. As far as I can tell, the application itself is not different (although I'm far from an Android wizard in this regard), but then why can't I uninstall it if I want?
