Official RUU return to stock and S-ON for HTC Evo 4G Gingerbread

Here are the official RUU to return to Android 2.3.3 4.53.651.1 (latest) on the HTC Evo 4G. Any questions, please ask.

This will give your Evo S-On if rooted with Revolutionary (thanks to Captain_Throwback for posting):

This will give your Evo S-On if rooted with UNREVOKED:

I inadvertently deleted the original "pc36img" that was provided when I initialy rooted my phone. When I try to get the Evo S-on, it doesn't work. The message I get says that it doesn't read or cannot get the "pc36img" (or something to that effect).

I am trying to unroot my phone to get back to stock so I can re-root it (I am tired of the cyanogen7).

I am sure this is an easy fix but I am relatively new 2 this. Any help would be GR8LY appreciated.

Oh you would rather go back to stock than flash another rom? I'd say flash a stock rom... has added features and battery life would be better as well.

I'd recommend this stock rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1258932

    I
f you want the stock look, get the swag off version

Why do you need to go back to stock to try a different rom?

I would like to go back to the origianl stock but I inadvertently delted the pc36img file. When i go into bootloader I get "wrong image" message. I tried zipping the file that i got from ur site and i get "cant find update script" Not sure what to do. I would try to flash the roms ur suggested but am not sure what OTA I currently have.

Help!!! I need to return my phone for service and I was rooted with Revolutionary. I followed the instructions and tried to turn S-Off back to S-On and now in doesn't say Revolutionary at the top but it still says S-Off. Any ideas? BTW this is on a HTC Evo.

If you rooted with Unrevoked but not Unrevoked Forever (in other words; you're rooted but "S-On"), you can skip the first step and just install the PC36img.zip - right?
