Help with my Samsung Epic. Volume issues after flashing ACS Frozen

After rooting and installing ACS Frozen ROM with Genocide II kernel, my phone has been working great except for one issue. The issue is that randomly during the day, sounds that shoudl be coming form the device speaker, such as the ringer, text notifications and my alarm, will start coming from the headset speaker (the one that goes up to your ear) Although the headset speaker can get impressively loud, this issue is still causing me a lot of problems. Any help that anyone could offer me would be very much appreciated.

    Thank you very much

Ok, I know Rodderik is looking into this issue. It is not known yet if it is a Voodoo 10 Issue or kernel related. I just had this happen 10 minutes ago as a matter of fact. I had my bluetooth connected and was going to watch one of qbking's videos. I powered off the bluetooth and all sound was coming through the earpiece. A simple reboot cleared it up for me. Like I said, Rodderik is looking into it. Hopefully a reboot straightens you out. Report back if it persists so we can help you out.

That is a known problem with that kernel. You can try a different kernel or an older version of that kernel.

Have you used the voodoo control app at all? If not, try uninstalling it.

Thank you both so much. I really appreciate it!!
Again, sorry to be a noob, but is there somewhere where there are reliable instructions for changing just the kernel?

    Thanks again

Just flash without any wipes then reboot.
I recommend twilight or an older genocide.

If you aren't using the Dual Boot, Genocide 1.1 Final should work well for you.

    Thanks everyone!

Sorry fore the late reply. I have been unbelievably busy with school and work. Anyway, I froze Vodoo, and that improved, but did not completely solve the problem. I think I am sttill going to flash a new Kernel, possibly this weekend if I can get around to it. Thank you for your suggestions.

    I really appreciate the help.

PS, does anyone know if the Epic is ever going to get gingerbread? Should I be pissed at Samsung or Sprint? I love Sprint because they are the only major carrier that does not donate millions to the Tea Party, but I am totally fine never purchasing another Samsung handset.
