[ACS][Odin]Completely Stock EG30 - Restore your system

I have only tested this with the stock kernel and Bubby's CWM kernel.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you have installed the proper XP or Win7 drivers before starting. Also, remove the SD card from the phone (this may not be necessary, but having the SD card installed has caused Odin to fail for a number of people, so might as well just do it).

1. Extract the contents of the zip file to a folder

2. Open odin

3. Put your phone in download mode (Shut it off, wait for lights to all go out, then hold v-down + power)

4. connect phone (you should see odin put a Com4 or something like that in the first box. The actual number is NOT important what is important is something popped up there when you connected your device, meaning ODIN can see it)

5. The only box that should be checked is Auto Reboot.

6. You do not need to choose a pit file.

7. In the PDA Section choose the tar file. (Stock-EG30.tar)

8. Hit start. It will do its thing.

9. If it fails than try a new cable.

10. If the phone hangs for any reason take the battery and sdcard out and let it sit for an hour. Put it back together and try again.

After I flash this is still have the yellow triangle on boot. Also when it first boots up it boots into the factory recovery then I have to reboot from there. Gotta take it into the sprint store so it needs to be factory. Even ordered the usb jig yesterday to reset the flash counter thing. Thanks.


Actually says - 'gaudi_bootimage.jpg' draw failed then boots intoAndroid system recovery and says

E: update file is backed up : Reportedted

You'll still need to install the stock EG30 kernel for the yellow triangle to go away.

I hope they don't check the counter on mine, it's going back today.. LoS is killing me. Once it's resolved I'll pick up another.

99. 9% of the time sprint will not check flash counter.. im a technician, i know about the flash counter and still don't bother with checking it, as long as it's stock you should be good

When i hold down v-down and power nothing happens. I hold it down for up to 30 secs as well. Can someone please help.

well thats proper way so its something your doing.

You have to press v-down + home + power.

Unless the firmware is different than my or most others' E4GTs, it should just be power+lowVol (home not necessary). It can take awhile, and it is easy to think you are pressing firmly on both when you actually may not be. Try using both hands. Also check your battery... or rather, plug in.
