Just loaded it all, Odin back to the EC05 from EH17, flashed the EC05toEI22 modem zip... check, ext4 to RFS zip... check, flashed the EI22 Backup... check and flashed the su 3.0 zip. Everything loaded, booted up and ready to go. Thanks qbking77 for the video.
Only bad thing is, quadrant score dropped from 1900 to 1300 from SRF 1.2 to GB EI22. That's a pretty big drop.
Yes, a stock GB rom will be slower than SRF, but now the Devs are going to rip into 2.3.5 and give us the next updated version SRF. I can't freakin wait.
I say SRF is the best EC05 rom ever produced, and I'm sure on EI22 will be no exception.
HEY IAM NEW TO THIS, DO I DOWNLOAD THE LINK TO MY PHONE OR MY PC .....THANKS
Just want to make sure I am doing it right......I am rooted running Froyo SRF 1.1.1. Can I use the second video method for rooted phones without doing anything first? Then I can download the ICS Rom and run it and I will be good to go? I just got the ACS updater off the Market but have not used it yet, looks easy to flash new rom's with that.
Has anyone else had their modem lock in airplane mode yet? Got this error on my epic after 2 weeks of use on the stock rom. I had this problem on both EH06 and EH17 Leaks as well.
Resurrection is for those that didn't get it right the first time...
Not that I have seen, but I never actually flashed any EH06 or EH17 ROMs either. I had used the EH17 Modem for about a week before Odin'd back to EC05 and delta'd up to EI22. During that time, it never locked in Air Plane mode.
I've been running EI22 for about two weeks (ROM and modem) and haven't had that issue. What I have noticed was when I was on Stock EC05 and my 4G would have an issue, i could go into Airplane mode and come back out (basically resets the radio) and get my 4G back. Going into Wifi and coming out would (if I was previously on 4G) also switch me right back to 4G again.
However, on Custom ROMs, that has "eluded" me. What I have noticed is that if I turn on 4G and go into Wifi, it cuts 4G off... like it is supposed to, but, when i get out of Wifi it defualts to 3G and not 4G. But if I go into Airplane Mode and get out it, it will trigger my 4G to connect again.
UPDATE... so get this, while i was typing the post above... i was retesting the issue. I was in 3G, went into airplane mode and came out. Phone activated back into 3G and was ok. I received a call about a min after that. I denied the call, but noticed that my weatherbug widget had failed to update, i clicked on the widget to update but nothing happend.
So, i opened a web browser and nothing happned. So yeah... the modem locked up. It was fine before (weather widget was still up to date) the call and locked up after.
i just tried to update my epic to the new android EI22 and it keeps coming up error when i run the software from how the video says to do it. redownloaded file a few times and still keeps getting the error message and my phone wont update. right now im running the EH17 gingerbread software on my phone. would i have to get it back to FROYO software and retry it or is there another way of doing it?
