Hi There first off thank you so much for all the great work you do!!
So both my wife and I have this great rom loaded (5.5) but going into google talk to try to testthe video chat i have the option to allow it when looking at my Gtalk profile. but my wife does not have that option..? any clue why i have been trying to find a solutions but have yet to find one. Do i mabe need to try another flash of this rom to my wifes phone maybe?
1st Post here on the ACS Forum and I just wanted to say Thank You to marcusant and the entire ACS Syndicate for delivering a great ROM for my Epic I ran several others and been dealing with all sorts of Crashes and Forced Closes but this ROM has to be the BEST yet I've been running Version ACS ICS v5.5 for several Days now with no Problems so 1 more Time Thank You and keep up the excellent Work.
This works amazingly for me, except for one particular problem... I discovered today (after installing last night) that headphones don't work. No idea what's wrong. they worked fine before loading this, and still work great on my laptop, but not on my phone with this ROM. I've tried everything... tinkering with Voodoo sound control settings, rebooting, swapping the order in which i play music and plug headphones in, etc, and no luck. Anyone else have this issue? I'm going to reinstall and see if that fixes things. Thanks for such amazing work!
**EDIT**
Reinstalled the rom, and no luck. I'm going to test out another ROM to determine whether the issue is with this ROM, or my entire EI22 system flash (i don't think i tested headphones on stock EI22 before i loaded this rom). Will report back soon!
**EDIT**
I tried the ERA Legendary ROM, and the results are the same. I also tried flashing a different kernel, and still no go. At this point, it looks like the issue is not with this ROM, but with my EI22 flash, so I will look for fixes elsewhere. Meanwhile, if anyone else is familiar with this issue, please let me know.
I am relatively new to flashing custom roms.
I have read through all the pages, and it seems that some people odin back to stock before changing roms, and others install directly. I didn't have this problem with SRF, since it was my first ROM install, so it was done directly from the ROM that came on the phone. But... I'm thinking that isn't really stock Android because Sprint customizes it. So that is the cause of my consfusion.
So my question is, can I flash ACS ICS without first removing SRF?
yes, you can. I came from SRF 1.2. The only thing I used Odin for was to flash the EC05 modem (I was on the EH17 Modem) so that I could use the delta zip that goes straight to the EI22 Modem from there. Then I used a posted Stock GB Restore that is here in the forum someplace (i gotta find it).
From there, it's been Flash City. Don't forget to update your CWM Recovery to ACS Recovery.
Macusant posted themes and lockscreen goodieis on XDA at http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...40055&page=269
I have a questions, I thought that when you wanted to set your own picture as a wallpaper that if you selected the option to have it more vertical that it would make the picture be one size no matter how you scroll the picture wouldn't change? instead no matter which one you choose it makes your picture extra fat and when you scroll from screen to screen the picture moves with it. Is it suppose to be like that?
Hello, i'm on ACS ICS v5.5. swype and youtube are not working. i tried to update, but im getting FC's every 3 sec if i ugrade. that goes same for installation of swype from a diff rom (ACS SRF1.2) too. youtube also FC's which i upgraded from Market. this is a fantastic rom except for these 2 problems. anybody has any fix for these 2 problems. swype is enabled and when i swype it shows the trace but gives only a light beep without any output in the txt field.
