Splashscreen Removal?
Is there a way to get rid of the splash screen "Samsungmobile.com" from coming up when you start then phone? I have a custom start up (CIA) animation running, but the samsun.... is taking longer then usual so the CIA part doesnt pop up right away, thanks.

You should be able to change the splash screen. You just have to know the method on how to do it for the particular phone that you have. It is not associated with the kernel. Usually you have to ADB push a new image into the phone, or use a special PxxxIMG file to flash a new image. I have been changing my splash screens for over a year. Unfortunately, I do not have a Samsung Epic phone, and I am unsure if anyone has figured it out yet and done it for your specific phone, so you will have to search for the correct method, but it can be changed on Android phones.
