V0.0.5.2 will be up sometime this week. I have strayed from the mainstream on this version so it will be a bit to get it all put back together. this version will not have the CM components instead it will contain a stock settings app, Nova Launcher in place of trebuchet and the cmsettings app has been removed. I have gone this route for several reasons stability and a more polished feel mainly. many of the CM components where missing any user configurable settings and trebuchet (i.e Launcher2.apk) was buggy at best, twice the size of Nova and had half as many settings. I believe that this combination of apps and launcher will provide the smoothest most stable experience to date.

EDIT: NO the camera does not work yet, but virtually everything else does.

Ok, So here's the deal I have beta version 0.0.5.2 ready to upload however, rather than waste the bandwidth I want to know should i upload it or would everyone prefer to wait for a working camera/video camera? Basically at this point there isn't much more that can be done it is about as stable as it can get.
everything works with the exception of the items listed below.

Camera
USB Tethering and WiFi Tethering
Video in gallery is still chopy

There are a lot of hacks out there for the camera, none that work very well at all on our devices. i would prefer not to include a hack but rather a full working camera. there are ICS Roms out there claiming that WiFi and USB Tethering work but i have not yet found one that is reliable enough to ask the devs for the fix. I would prefer to wait for this as well since I have more faith in Lord ClockaN and twistedumbrella's fixes than in mine or any others out there.

I'd love to try it out, particularly if it includes the advances made since 0.0.4 was released. However, having said that, if you would prefer to incorporate some more fixes first - then by all means I (we) can wait until you are ready.

I've been following the dhd thread almost daily and am really impressed with the effort you guys are putting into this. It's amazing to see people from all around the world coming together for a common cause. Anybody following it should gain a huge appreciation for the amount of work and time this takes. Obviously there are some that just don't seem to get it...but at least there are those like myself that do. So thank-you for all of us!

...and of course, I wait for your release anyway because it's it's always soo good and tweeked just right for our device. Besides, patience is a virtue and I can certainly stand to be more virtuous... :-)

It's looking like Lord ClockaN maybe be releasing some new source in a couple days as well as twistedumbrella might find some time to work on the camera issue, i have tried a couple of the different camera mods out there but neither work on the inspire they might work for the DHD but i can't test that. I do believe that i will wait at least through the weekend before releasing since there might possibly be some advances in the source by then.

ok, looks like LC and Twisted have a working camera build (although it has glitches) so we are close and continued testing goes well. I'll post the next update as soon as my beta tester has a list of things for me to fix plus hopefully I'll be including a camera fix as well.

Ok, it's been hectic lots of changes happening fast, beta 5.3C is posted (thanks jo74 for all the testing) next build may be a few days i'm resyncing my repo and building from scratch to make sure all patches and commits are included. i plan on removing the remaining debug code in this next build and that should smooth things out a little more.

next build may be up sooner than i thought, LC is narrowing down the bluetooth calling issue and i have updated my repo and rebuilt from scratch (up till nearly 3AM this morning yikes), i have modded the CMsettings components as i dont really care for all the "Place Holders" and components that dont work and will include it in this build. Which by the way will allow for cpu OC and governor control directly from the settings menu rather than having to use a third party app or manually editing config files. most people at the "other" forum dislike the evtoolbox app that is included however, i find it quite useful even though it is somewhat simplistic.

JO74 - if you would be willing to once again place your phone in "Guinea pig" mode it would be much appreciated, like have a build by monday. I think this will probably be v1.0.0RC1
