Hi, I'm on stock rooted EL29 w/FE16 modem,stock recovery so I put framework jar and services jar in system/framework/ with esfile Hotspot activates then says cant connect to 3g user name or password maybe incorrect, dont know the command to wipe dalvik in terminal, Any way to get it to work with out a recovery.

I just got a Epic 4G Touch and used the "[ODIN][TAR] SPH-D710.EL29_CL852097 (EL29 Modem/Kernel/ROM - Full Restore - Rooted" one-click method to update/root my phone (was on EG30) and am trying to figure out how to install this Hotspot mod. I still have the stock android recovery, and tried to do the "apply update from sdcard" option in stock recovery to install the EL29 odexed and deodexed zip files to no avail (I get a "E:signature verification failed" error. I also tried renaming the zip file to "update.zip". I put the zip files in a 2GB microSD card for all these attempts. Do I need the ClockWorkMod recovery to install this Hotspot mod? Or can it be installed using Stock Android Recovery (I would like to keep this phone as stock as possible)? Thank you in advance.

yes sir you would need cwm to flash zips, you can odin a kernel with cwm for fix. any more help please ask.
