    Re: [ACS][ROM] Phoenix ROM 0.2 & 0.3 RC

@Firehak thanks for uploading that again... Now I am getting system update notifications... I tried using a terminal emulator and doing the following but it still keeps notifying me.. I also did this and rebooted just to see if it would stick that way.. but a no go..

    su

    pm disable com.samsung

it says it was disabled but it still keeps giving me the nagging notification..

    any suggestions?

BTW, everything else seems fine so far... Thanks again :)

Because you need to edit /system/build.prop. Replace every instance of "EK18" with "FA19" for sprint, or whatever Boost Mobile's latest firmware is, if you have Boost. I don't have a permanent solution for it yet, though I doubt we'll be seeing any more updates. for it..

On a personal note, I don't recommend going over 512MB for your /data partition (Results may differ with a high class card). I'm at ~420MB of /data after purposely never cleaning crap out and I've begun taking a HUGE performance cut and things lag a lot. I know plenty of other phones have that kind of internal storage easy, but our phones just weren't cut out for much more on a budget. I actually should have time today and was about to start working on 0.3 again.
Is that something you can write into the 0.3? (I'd love to help, but my programming is from languages not even used anymore - I'm 44 yrs old - I'd make things worse instead of better!)
My phone is giving me the "low memory" notification and I've uninstalled 2/3 of my apps (backed up on Titanium Pro first) but it still shows /data at 90%+ full. Also, it's always showing my /system at 99% (is that normal?) but the /cache is only at 1%. I'm thinking I might be better doing a reinstall of 0.2 (unless 0.3 is stable now). What do you think?

(one more thing - do you have a "donate" button, app, etc? I'd love to donate toward your work.)

EDIT: I bit the bullet and reloaded PhoeniX 0.2 as I couldn't take the snail's pace my phone was running at. Still not sure why it had eaten so much storage space up. Any thoughts?

    flashing ROM

Is this rom compatible with a SPH-M930BST running GB EG29. I currently am using a ROM developed.by interdpth named STAR-SCROM. I'M looking for a new ROM to flash as INTERDPTH no longer has the time to develope any updates. Will this ROM work on my phone without messing it up? I don't mean to sound stupid, I would rather be safe then sorry. Thanks in advance ....wheelchair user .

    Re: [ACS][ROM] Phoenix ROM 0.2 & 0.3 RC

It's been a couple weeks - just wondering if there are any new developments.

I've run into a problem where my EXT2 partition is not writable for some reason, so if I try to "link" to the partition using Link2SD, it fails. I'm thinking I might have to re-partition it??? It's a 1Gb partition on a 4GB card. I don't remember if I had problems with it after I adjusted the size using Gparted or not, but I certainly do now! Any thoughts before I re-flash the ROM?

Cwm usually has a ext partition formatting feature built in if you wanna try that as well.

    Re: [ACS][ROM] Phoenix ROM 0.2 & 0.3 RC

I ended up repartitioning my card yesterday. I couldn't get MiniTool or G-Parted to fix the read-write error. I saved everything on my FAT32 partition off to my computer and wiped it.

Once I repartitioned it, I still was having issues with the partition. I created an EXT3 partition but Link2SD wouldn't recognize it as such. I went into MiniTool and changed it to an EXT2 and that solved it.

    Re: [ACS][ROM] Phoenix ROM 0.2 & 0.3 RC

First thanks for a great rom. I'm hoping sombody has a solution to my problem though. I had flashed Phoenix Rom 0.2 last week and then updated with a modded kernel. Everything was fine except that my mobile web would disconnect at random times and I would have to manually restart it and yesterday i noticed that i couldn't send mms'. Phone calls and sms worked as everything else. I've since reverted back to the stock kernel without root and reset to factory specs. To be honest this is my very first android and I'm coming from a device that ran meego linux so I'm not very experienced with the android os. I'm wondering if the reason i cant send mms and the mobile web shuts down is because the carrier in my build.prop is identified as sprint (im on boost) or maybe im looking in the wrong place for the problem. If anyone has any idea why that was happening id like to know cause i really would like to flash back to Phoenix.
