Hi QBKING,
I want to thank you for the great videos. An eager to get started but want to first just see if I can go from 3.2 to the current 4.0. Since my tab is rooted I cannot. sockmonkey seems to have an excellent unroot setup.

Both your material and his use the same links. That's where the trouble lies. Since the links are no longer current all his and your great efforts are for naught.

I wrote sockmonkey asking if he could update the links but haven't heard back. If you still have the files he laid out in his tutorial I would very much appreciate getting them.

I am eager to try my first custom rom as well. I wonder if you can recommend a safe starter. I do not multitask the tab and speed is very nice.

One other concern I have that I am sure is shared by all noobs … given that everything on the sdcard is backed up using titanium backup, what else is needed and where should it be saved. Titanium backup requires root, that requires superuser and possibly clockworkmod.

Last time I tried to upgrade and wiped the sgt it took my nearly 2 hours to recover and I did not take the time to record all the extra hoops I had to go through … load a browser to get mobilism to get superuser to get titanium... These required I sign in to google, then Samsung, then recreate accounts, bla, bla, bla.

There must be a much easier way of going about this. How do the pros get around this madness? It must be much easier than what I've experienced or few would ever try.
