    Modem

I posted this here because I am looking for a special modem that will pick up in a area with low signal. I am transferred here for 6 months and the signal stinks. I have a few teaked el29 modems but dont seem to help. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

They are different for everyone...really you are going to have to trial and error them...see which one works best for you....

    Re: Modem

Modems are an unusual item. What is good for one person is not necessarily good for another. As has been stated, trial and error with speed testing and signal strength is the only way to see what is best for you. If you don't have a speed test app, I recommend Speedtest by Ookla. Its in the market FREE. Also, here is the link to watch the How to Video's and links to download the various modems.

    Re: Modem

Yeah tried the el26,29 and the el29 that has been tweaked, all seem to have the same signal strengths. As far as speed goes the teaked el29 that I have is by far the fastest. Tried prl and profile updates with no help. I think its just the area I am in. I just have to live with it. I only have 2 months left here..

    Re: Modem

For those of you that would like to try this tweaked EL29 Modem I have here you go. This is a bin file so you need to be in the download mode on phone and use odin. In in odin check the phone slot and auto reboot only. Let me know the results just curious!
