Extra files in themed system apps?

I am running legendary RC2.2 on my epic and themed it with ACSlaughtered for EI22. I was looking at the system apps in Root explorer and I noticed something interesting. There are two of some app files like calculator. Only the themed version of calculator was present in my app drawer so I went ahead and installed the regular calculater app in my system apps. I then had two calculators, one of which was themed and one which was stock.
I'm wondering if it's ok to delete some of these apps that are stock but also have a themed double? Do the themed apps have some sort of link in which they rely on the stock apps or are they just in case I want the stock app on my themed phone instead of a themed one?

You can remove the unthemed ones if you want.

Depends how the themed app is created. It can be done either way.

You can always try. Just make a backup first so you can undo it.
