Re: Stock Deodex'd pre-rooted FB09 [ 4.0.3]
Takes a while to get going but works great!! Thanks very much for this ROM.
I installed Titanium and it says I do not have root. Love the ROM and could not wait for ICS.

Question for this rom, if one wanted to just test it out, is there anything special required for restoring or is it just restore through recovery to get back? I wanted to prepare ahead of time if I need anything special to restore from this rom.

The only thing you need is Odin version of CWM so you can put it on instead of the stock recovery. Atleast in my experience. With thats it's a simple process of Odin on CWM and then you go into CWM recovery and flash whatever rom you want to go to.

Right on, after I posted this question, I checked out qbking77s qbkings corner on youtube and he mentions this in his episode.
I am itchin to test this rom :)
update: so, what I have read is that when you test this ICS rom, in order to restore your backup, you'll need to do a factory restore to stock first then restore your nandroid.
This thread has the info and links for that process: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=20132821
I've also heard that some are flashing different modems with this rom, is this able to be done? How about flashing rogue kernels too? Would this rom even work with custom recovery manually installed after flashing the rom?

I was able to flash CWM recovery via rom manager. It's bit old but still working fine.
If someone wants to go back to GB EL29 here is the file I've downloaded long ago and I don't remember where I found the link for it.
I uploaded it to goo-inside.me.
Here is the link:
http://goo-inside.me/devs/agat/stock...EL29nodata.zip
It's an executable file that would flash rooted EL29 via odin.
It's all in one. Just double click the the file, put phone into download mod, connect to pc and press the start button.
If you will get stack on boot just boot to recovery (it will be stock recovery). Wipe/factory reset and boot to system.
Worked for me 3 times already.
If you use this file you can skip all updates between EG30 and EL29. You will have latest GB build on your phone.

This is great thanks for the hard work, few things that might help.
1. Stock SMS/MMS works with the rom.
2. Stock ics launcher2 works if your still having issues with that.
3. There are two .apk that make stock ics keyboard work , I pulled them from stock icss and it works with no fc.
Just a few things I have tried that worked and ics browser + is the best ics browser I have seen so far.
