Would i be able to update to any future updates OTA or will i have to go to the official version released by Sprint OTA then update?
The OTA patches are designed to work ontop of the last official release. Whichever build is selected for ICS will be released with an OTA patch for EL29 to that version. So if they build a version today FD26 and that version is tested and sprint decides to OTA it the patch will be for EL29 to FD26 for example. So if you use this OTA style patch for FD24 and FD24 ends up not being pushed you can not use the update.zip or do an OTA update to the final version from there.
If you are not on EL29 at the time of the final release you have two options. You can ODIN back to a stock EL29 and then update or you ODIN the tar for the final ICS build it really wont matter. Many of us are testing the leaks as they come and will be heading in the same direction in the end.

Long time reader and subscriber to qbking77s YouTube channel, first time poster. Just wanted to confirm a successful update from rooted EL29 to FD24, and a successful overwrite of FD24 using the update.zip from the SD card. I was using FD16, and some of the user data for the calendar was not compatible with EL29 when I tried to revere to stock and keep my user data. It was a bit of a mess, but I got it worked out.
I'm not surprised. There's still some serious battery life issues. Not nearly as bad as FD16 but not even close to gingerbread standards. I'm still seeing some notification glitches with the stock launcher vs twlauncher as well. I'm really liking the progress Im seeing, but there's a bug or two that definitely needs ironing out.

Not arguing your statement, as I am rather new to all of this, and therefore not as informed, but I am curious as to why you come to that conclusion. Is "jellybean" going to be specifically for the next gen of dual and quad core phone processors? Again, not arguing your conclusion, just wondering how you got there.

That wasn't me. And I don't think he was directing that at you. I think it was an exclamation of surprise that they used the exact build number he had mentioned the day before. Like, "Hey, whudda ya know! Everything really is bigger in Texas!"
