BACKUP YOUR ROM using clockworkmod
BACKUP YOUR APPS using your preferred app backup utility (Others use Titaniumbackup, I use Ultimate Backup (App Manager Pro))
After backing up everything on your device
Clear your System/Data/Cache/Delvik/battery stuff from within clockworkmod recovery.
Failure to do so may result in bootloops and an inevitable Hard/Factory reset.
1)
- Download these 3 apps: http://www.4shared.com/folder/YmFqLG2h/KDZ.html
2)
- Extract and install B2CAppSetup.zip (I think this was the LGMobile Update Tool lol I forget)
- Extract the kdz_fw_upd_en.zip (C:\KDZ\)
- Install msxml.msi (C:\KDZ\ (or where ever you installed it))
- Extract WindowsEnabler.zip to the same folder as KDZ (ex.: C:\KDZ\WindowsEnabler)
3)
- Run LGMobile update (must be on your desktop) and install the your phones usb drivers
4)
- Reboot the device in S/W Update mode.
To do this, use your thumb to push down on both the volume - and + at the same time and then press the power button.
After about 7-10 seconds it should pop up with a round arrowed logo and say "S/W Update" blah blah blah
- Then plug it into your computer
5)
- Go to your Windows "Device Manager" > Modems > disable the LGE Mobile USB Modem
windows7: open up your control panel and click on device manager
6)
- Run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe as administrator.
7)
- Run Windows Enabler.exe as administrator.
- After you run the app, an icon will appear on your tray, single-click on the icon and "ON" text should appear over the icon
At this point you should have the LG Software Update tool open on your desktop somewhere, as well as the windows enabler enabled in you system tray.
8)
- Using the LG Update Tool, dbl click the folder icon and then locate the .kdz file for your device (located above)-
9)
- Click on "Launch Software Update" and don't click on anything else.
The program appears to stop working for a minute or so and then it starts again.
Go check your email or something and just keep an eye on your phone.
- WAIT until your phone reboots automatically (should take about 5-7 minutes)
Congrats, your pretty much just force flashed your device with the stock/factory firmare/rom stuffs as if you just walked out of the t-mobile store.
Connect to a wifi(save data) and update away on all the apps.
Credit goes to a cpl folks over at XDA:
felipemadox for the tutorial
and pcmaniacs for the link to the .kdz

I used this method twice so far and it worked flawlessly the first ... then the second time had a slight issue. The second time i got stuck in a "android 4G" bootloop but i eventually got it to boot by pulling battery and doing the factory reset (power, volume down, return and menu button) then it booted fine to stock but then the craziness continued went and used titanium backup to relpace all my apps then i had a sd card issue (wasnt able to access on pc) ... well then i rebooted to recovery only to see it restart and erase everything yet again (after restored all user apps) and start from the factory "welcome to MyTouch" well for a few my phone was possessed now its all good gonna continue flashing .... lol
"Hi my name is James" ..... "and I am a Flashing Addict"
Did this and wound up in a boot loop. tried about 10 times now. Any help would be appreciated.
The updater app crashes right after reboot. could this be the cause?

The updater app "crashes" but the process is completed, and the phone is restored with the updated software/etc from LG.
Did you clear the system/data/cache/delvik/etc from within clockworkmod recovery?
I had the occasional issue as well, usually forgetting to wipe the data/cache/delvik/battery from within clockworkmod recovery.
As a habit I now always clear my data/cache/delvik and etc. The time I did not I also had to do a hard/factory reset.
-----------------------------
-Pull battery, wait a few seconds, put battery back in.
- Push volume down then the power button immediately after.
- Hold for 3 seconds then press the menu and back soft keys on your devices screen
- Immediately let go of the power button only, after the LG logo appears on the screen.
- Wait about 5 seconds and the LG logo will blink out real fast. When this happens I release the 2 soft-keys (menu and back) but in this video he does not.
The timing is CRITICAL, and may take you a while to get it down.
(I personally had trouble remembering to release the power button immediately after the LG logo appeared and botched the process PLENTY of times lol)

Or you could just try unrooting your phone then boot into CWM. Then connect to your comp and run the LG tool. That's what I did for my phone and it worked out perfectly. It's rooted and running fine.
Got it working after I posted, rebooted to recovery and wiped it again, and it booted fine.

I've got a problem. The LGMobile Support Tool is stuck at Save Downloaded File when downloading the driver. Any help?
Never mind I got it! Thank you so much!!!!
The LGMobile Support Tool is stuck at Save Downloaded File when downloading my driver. and when i get to choose the kdz file part i cant find the file. please someone help me.
For some reason it got stuck for me too. Go to c:\ in your computer and look for a folder with the name of your phone. For example I have the LGE739BK so I downloaded the driver and then went to c:\LGE739BK. The driver should be in there somewhere. And he has the .kdz file at the very top in his first paragraph as a link for download.
