I'm currently on 1.1 and downloading 1.2 but I have the same battery life issue as minty, I'm getting roughly 1/3-1/2 the time from what I had on the stock ROM, is this fixed in 1.2? and would the OC or NO OC ROM be a better choice to help with battery life?

I did a little digging and i found out, what i believe, that the reason for the battery drain is not the overclock itself but the Governor of the clock frequencies. It seems that the governor is set to the "performance" setting keeping the clock at 1.8Ghz and not on "on demand." Now I don't know how to fix this but I hope this information helps in your development.

do you think using something like the SETCPU app would help manage it better? or would I cause stability issues doing this?

It doesn't specifically say that SETCPU supports the Galaxy S3 yet but it is worth a shot. I will download it and tell you how it went. No sense in both of us buying an app if it doesn't work.

try and use Antutu CPU Master. It seems to be working on mine. also it is free.

I'll check it out thanks, it looks very similar to SETCPU, doing a backup in titanium right now then updating to 1.2 but i will report on it sometime later today after i charge up for the night

been playing with the Antutu app on 1.2 for a wile now and it has greatly improved my battery life.

Even though my battery isn't at 100% yet, when i install 1.2 would you recommend in the clockwork mod doing the battery stats wipe?, or when is the best time to do that if at all?

I don't know. i have never done a stats wipe. I assume that the battery stats will overwrite themselves after a day or so...

I don't think it matters.
